Competition Days: Women’s comps Wednesdays and Saturdays. Vets comp Thursdays + medley; medley most Sundays and Public Holidays. (Refer to Golf Calendar on the GCC website). Fee $21.00. Pro Shop staff have authority to condense field if/where cancellations occur. Your cooperation when asked to move to another group is much appreciated. Report to Pro Shop at least 20 minutes before your tee time.
If you decide not to play or change your time slot and this leaves only one person in that time slot, as a matter of courtesy please let that person know.
Phones on silent. Check you don’t have more than 14 clubs. Identify your ball to playing partners. Keep up with the group in front. Be aware of Rules of Golf (download the R&A app!!), local rules and local rules listed on board outside Pro Shop.
During cooler months slots for women golfers are allocated from 11 am – 11.40 am but we can play at any time. IF WE DON’T USE THESE SLOTS WE WILL LOSE THEM – PLEASE PLAY IN THE ALLOCATED TIME SLOTS IF YOU CAN. Any Saturday slots not reserved by women by Thursday evening will be made available to the men).
All results must be signed by a player with a current GA handicap. The Match Committee reserves the right to alter the program if necessary. For Championships, other Board events, Monthly Medal and Golf NSW rounds, if course is closed or closed to carts, the event will be rescheduled. Any questions or complaints should be discussed with one of the Co-Captains or directed in writing to the Match Committee.
Handicap Divisions for Club Competitions: Divisions will be determined on the day by the Pro Shop. 25+ players: 3 divisions; 17 – 24 players: 2 divisions; 16 players or less: 1 division. One player constitutes a competition.(If less than 10 players balls allocated according to table “Competition Fees and Balls for Less Than 10 Players”).

Nearest the Pins (NTPs): PLEASE NOTE THIS CHANGE FOR 2025
THERE WILL BE NTPs ON ALL FOUR PAR 3 HOLES. THEY ARE ALL OPEN TO EVERYONE.
Ball must be on the green.
Winners & Runners Up Vouchers: Amounts won are listed in the results emailed to you on Wednesdays and Saturdays. (Any winnings in other competitions are credited to your Griffith Golf Club account)
Ball Comp Vouchers: Ball comp winners ($4.00) are also noted on the results emailed to you.
(All vouchers for the year are given out at our Presentation Event in November).
(If a visitor is a winner or runner up she wins golf balls equivalent to prize money or a voucher depending on circumstances. Either Captain gives the person balls or Pro Shop to do so and bill Women’s Golf. Golf ball for NTP or Ball Comp. If a visitor leaves before presentation an effort should be made to contact her re prize).
Monthly Medals: (March – October) Stroke rounds. Divisions are the same as the daily divisions determined on the day. Winner decided by countback if necessary. Vouchers are donated by local businesses. (No women’s vouchers allocated for winners in each division).
Gold Medal Play Off: All women who have won a Monthly Medal during the year are eligible to play for the one Griffith Gold Medal.
Golf NSW Medal: Six rounds. Lowest nett aggregate of three best scores used. You only need to play in 3 rounds to qualify. Winners in each division receive a medal from Golf NSW and are invited to play in the Riverina final. Region finalists invited to state play off at the end of the year.
Pennant: our RWGA Zone rounds played on Mondays in May at clubs in our Zone. We need lots of volunteers. Susan Tyrrell is our Pennant Co-ordinator.
Conditions of Play for Board Events and Major Competitions: Set by Match Committee. Emailed to all and on board in Ladies’ Room
Match Play Index: The only index to be used for club match play competitions is dated 2019. Copies in plastic sleeve on notice board in Ladies’ Room.
